GoogleEarth

Outline of Class:
  1. 'Oh the Places We'll Go' can be played either by:
    1. Continents
    2. Whole world
    3. Category:
      1. Art
      2. History
      3. Culture
      4. Science
      5. Geography
    4. Just a few clues
  2. Final project is in PowerPoint, which can then be imported into Slideshare. Once its in SlideShare then they can be embedded.
  3. The final project could also be created in Mixbook
  4. Need to download GoogleEarth onto all computers.
  5. Modify the layers in GoogleEarth.
  6. Spend 1-2 periods (45 minutes) letting the students learn how to use GoogleEarth.
    1. Have them put in their own personal address in the 'fly to' box.
    2. Have them put in the school address into the 'fly to' box.
    3. Let them practice the navigation tools
  7. Have the students open the 'Oh the Places We'll Go' and then save it to their favorites
  8. Have the students download the PowerPoint for the game and save it to their account or computer.
